So why do we need to restore headlights and or plastics?
Most vehicles made in the past 20 years utilize polycarbonate headlights. Polycarbonate is a dominate material for making automotive headlights lenses. These headlights require outer surface coatings because of its low scratch resistance and susceptibility to ultra violet degradation (yellowing, oxidation). Over time the surface coating wears off leaving the light susceptible to degradation. Many factors play into this to include weather, make of vehicle, and daytime running lights.
What to do with damaged headlights?
A consumer has two options on dealing with a damaged light or lens. Either replace light or lens which can be very expensive or to resurface the light or lens. Resurfacing the light or lens will restore the light to a like new condition and in most cases back within OEM/DOT specifications. When properly treated with a UV Clear Coat and cured that new surface will last for several years. We guarantee it.
